Business Pact for the Future
Launched 2024
Business Pact for the Future is an initiative to accelerate implementation of the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, a centerpiece of the UN Summit of the Future (SOTF). The Business Pact calls for an all-of-society approach to achieve the UN’s global goals and to promote public-private partnerships. It highlights support for the multilateral system and the importance of engaging business in decision making processes. This is a two-year joint project of USCIB’s Moving the Needle initiative and The USCIB Foundation.
Business Partner Roundtables: Infrastructure

The USCIB Foundation developed the Business Partner Roundtables (BPRs) to focus on critical global topics to support multisector engagement. These invitation-only virtual discussions encourage business, public and academic leaders to consider approaches to multisector engagement on key global issues. The session on Infrastructure, developed in partnership with The Wilson Center Wahba Institute for Strategic Competition, assembled a distinguished group of global corporate, government, NGOs, and academic leaders. The objective of the discussion was to explore how to achieve SDG9 by building resilient infrastructure.
Global Business Town Halls
2022
The USCIB Foundation teamed up with SHRM and the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) to deliver two Global Business Town Halls, reflecting on the role of business in addressing the UN Secretary General’s report, Our Common Agenda, which seeks to foster a human-centric recovery for the global workforce in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Panelists explored the important role of business during the pandemic and its important role in the future, focusing on SDG5 and SDG17.
Business Partners for Sustainable Development

This virtual center establishes a framework for government, business and civil society to share information, resources, activities and capabilities to achieve things together that it could not achieve alone. Business Partners for Sustainable Development (BPSD) is built on four pillars – Inclusion, Innovation, Influence and Impact. The objective is to facilitate partnerships, find creative solutions, leverage proven strategies, as well as measure and optimize.

A public access online platform that showcases business’ past and continuing contributions to sustainable development through case studies presented through the prism of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The Green Dialogues
2010
This initiative created dialogue around green-growth and green-economy topics among governments, academics, think tanks, international organizations and business experts around the Rio+20 summit. The second phase included a publication and online availability of the Green Perspectives papers from leading experts from around the world, aiming to shed light on the viability of various strategies to promote green growth and green jobs in the context of global markets.
