This growing distrust leads to ever increasing calls for transparency that often hinder rather than strengthen public private engagement.

USCIB teamed up with Barrick and Article One to hold a symposium. This meeting, hosted by Marriott International, brought together human rights leaders from business, civil society and the public sector to discuss challenges and explore opportunities to advance respect for human rights, effectively remedy business relationships with limited leverage and share relevant lessons and ideas across industries and business models. The influence of business relationships influence can help promote greater access to judicial and non-judicial remedy for victims – in keeping with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Security and Human Rights.

No More Missed Opportunities: Advancing Public-Private Partnerships to Achieve the Global Nutrition Goals

This two-day conference with leaders from UN agencies and food and beverage companies addressed the barriers constraining private sector engagement in achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on nutrition and endorse principles to guide business contributions to achieving the goals. The resulting report was developed in partnership with The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).
